This bowl holder was designed for those who can only work one- handed in the kitchen. The biggest problem that bowls have when working with only one hand is that while mixing or stirring, two hands are required – one to hold the bowl and the other to mix. My solution was to design a mechanism to prevent the bowl from spinning.
Using laser-cut wood prototypes, I tested a couple different iterations with wide bases and large surface areas that would prevent the bowl from spinning. I found a solution that not only effectively held the bowl in place, but can be folded and easily storable.
